Keisha Lynne Stephenson was born on November 20, 1968, in Manhattan, New York. She was the only child born to the late Robert Edward Powell and Annie Lou Riles Powell. God received her into His loving care on February 20, 2026, at Wellstar Medical College of Georgia Health Medical Center. Keisha gave her life to Christ and was saved. She joined Williams Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in 2016 under the leadership of Reverend Marcus Rodgers, where her spiritual walk deepened and flourished. Her unwavering faith in God remained the foundation of her life.
Keisha was united in marriage to the love of her life, Neil Anthony Stephenson, Sr., and from this union were born two children, Neil Anthony Stephenson, Jr., and Jasmane Susanna Jackson. Keisha received her education through the Washington, D.C. school system. She later moved to Augusta, Georgia, in 2000, where she began her promising career as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) at Christies Health Services. Keisha’s presence will be deeply missed. She had a vibrant spirit and was often the life of the party. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially at gatherings filled with love and laughter.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving family: her devoted son, Neil (Keambra) Stephenson; beloved daughter, Jasmane (Jamie) Jackson; and grandchildren, Marquez Stephenson, Anthony Stephenson, Paris Stephenson, Aniya Stephenson, Samiya Stephenson, Karneilus Stephenson, Tre’Na Stephenson, Mikahryn Stephenson, and Ni’Keem Stephenson. She is also survived by her uncles, Robert L. Riles and James W. Riles (Ella); aunts, Carolyn Barnett (Maurice Jr.), Pearl R. Cummings, and Catherine Bush (James); along with a host of cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
