TERESA LAVERENE WASHINGTON

Teresa Laverne Washington (64) passed away on October 31, 2024, in Augusta, Ga. Teresa was born in
Queens, New York, on August 1, 1960. Teresa was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and great-grandmother. She endured many hardships during her childhood and adulthood. Teresa faced her hardships with courage and strength, and with God’s blessings, she used her hardships to be a better person.
Teresa was a compassionate soul. Teresa leaves a void in many hearts that were touched by her. Teresa
had a deep-rooted faith in God. Teresa is survived by her two sons (Leo Ruffin and Samuel Hudson), two
daughters (Burdell Brooks and April Jones), her brother (Samuel Washington) and her sister (Francine
Davis Mitchell). Teresa was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Washington and Henry Davis.
Teresa is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
